My husband will give an explanation and field any questions. Bring a sack lunch to eat down there and also make sure to wear mud boots. If you have any questions please call me @ 419-566-1285. If you know of anyone who may wish to come and does not get the ARCHE e-mails, please let them know as well, Thank you, Mary Dolce *Directions : Take 42 S. Pass the Ashland University swamp catwalk and take first road on left. (Bowen Rd.) Turn right on Crider Rd. Park on the gravel to the roght of drive and we will meet as a group near the office/shop. If anyone is needing encouragement in the task of raising godly children, Nancy Campbell is one of the best to strengthen and encourage you for this task through her Biblical teaching. For more information you can go to www..neohrubies.blogspot.com or contact Brianna Graber at [email protected]. She'll send you a registration form which you can print and mail back with your payment. This is a wonderful opportunity and we are blessed to have this retreat so close to home. Please sign up today to attend! We are up and running ready for another fun maple-syrup season. We have 500-600 tapped trees here and will be having a homeschool day when the sap begins to run. We will probably give a day or two notice and all are welcome to come to our sugar shack to see how the syrup is made. My husband has many area schools come each year to watch and "taste" the excitement. The children will be able to walk through the woods (with good mud boots) and trudge down to the cabin to get a tour. Parents, grandparents and anyone else who is interested are welcome. Directions, dates and times will be posted later. Hope all of you can come. Bring a camera along to capture a memorable time with your kids!!! --Mary We're revamping our site a bit, but we don't want this to be lost in the shuffle. If your children are interested in learning and playing chess, be sure to check out our chess club. Details can be found here. As well, we have great homeschool gym classes for kids of all ages. You can check it out here.
Homeschoolers are planning a couple more nursing home visitations. They will be gathering at the Brethren Care Towers on March 22 and April 26 to share their musical gifts and to visit.
If you and your children would like to participate, please contact Jennifer at [email protected]. A couple of weeks ago approximately 25 homeschoolers participated in the homeschool geography fair. Students displayed reports, facts, and authentic foods from each of their respective countries. From the display on the left it may be easily recognized that much hard work was done by both student and parent(s). Thanks are due to Anita for organizing the event, which was held in the conference room at the Ashland Public Library. |
